Nike’s KD 3 signature shoe, which is worn by NBA star Kevin Durant, is getting a modern revamp from the Oregon-based sportswear company. For the newest iteration, which was originally released in 2010, the swoosh branding gives the silhouette a “Christmas” makeover. The sneaker is completely covered in a Vibrant Yellow/Photo Blue-Team Orange color scheme.
The Nike KD 3 silhouette will be launched in “Christmas” colorway on December 23, 2023. This pair of bright yellow low-tops has a suggested retail price of $130. Fans and other interested customers will be able to purchase them online, as well as through in-store Nike websites, the SNKRS app, and a variety of affiliated retail chains.
Kevin Durant received the second-largest rookie deal contract with Nike after LeBron James after his rookie season in 2007. Given that he has been considered as a professional basketball player for numerous years, Nike recognized the forward’s potential right away and gambled on him.
Durant has demonstrated throughout his professional career that he brings hero wattage to the floor regardless of the team he plays for. Fans have witnessed him succeed with the Seattle Supersonics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, and Brooklyn Nets. Profits from Nike’s KD basketball footwear assortment have shown this throughout his career. Kevin Durant has demonstrated his devotion to the swoosh logo with 15 editions of the Nike KD shoe.
Kevin Durant’s Nike signature shoe line released its 15th generation in 2022, and the line will soon introduce its 16th design, beginning with the “Vivid Orange” colorblocking. Nike should return to the original models, as the series has been around for over ten years.
The Nike KD 3 is now being retroed and was first spotted in its unmistakable “All-Star” hue back in February. As a result, the return of the shoe in its “Christmas” colorway will make this Holiday 2023 even more thrilling.
The model, which debuted in 2010, is set to return in its original shape in 2023, with the same eye-catching color scheme of team orange, sky blue, and vibrant yellow.
The upper of the shoe features a variety of bright yellow leather panels, and Flywrire in the midfoot helps to keep the foot in position when the laces are secured. There are photo blue accents in this area, as well as the KD labeling on the tongue flap and the Nike Swoosh on the midfoot.
Orange accents can be found in the two branding features. The mesh tongue and sockliner are both neutral yellow, and the “KD 35” insignia on the heel provides one more pop of color. The yellow foam midsole and semi-translucent gum rubber outer sole unit round out the design.
Keep an eye out for the upcoming Kevin Durant x Nike KD 3 “Christmas” edition, which will be available throughout the holiday season. To receive future information about the indicated colorway, register on the Swoosh website or download the SNRKS app.
