The Nike (NYSE:NKE -2.04%) KD 16 “Aunt Pearl” is almost coming, as the Swoosh has unveiled a sneaker breakdown. The release date for the pair has been pushed back to October 27 with a $170 USD price tag via Nike SNKRS and select Nike Basketball stores.
Following an early glimpse at an unknown pink KD 16 colorway, store photographs of the official Nike KD 16 “Aunt Pearl” have surfaced. This year, the KD 16 “Aunt Pearl” joins the KD 3 in wearing the homage colorway, which combines a delicate pink with a vibrant variant of the shade. The tongue of the left shoe includes a rose, while the sockliner pays respect to his late Aunt Pearl and former basketball coach Kay Yow. This colorway will be available on October 14th at and select retailers for $170 USD. Stay tuned for an official breakdown, as well as an update on the previously stated pink hue.

The Swoosh designers used a gentle pink tone throughout the tongues, mesh underlays, and textured midsole molds, with hot pink accents on the eyelets, heel icons, and mid-foot molds, according to the original leaked pictures. The tiny back Swooshes are created in pure white to add contrast.
