Despite a run of injuries to both rotational and star players, Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns have gotten off to a relatively great start to the 2023-24 NBA season. Despite being 35 years old, Durant has continued to play at an All-NBA level this season, with the superstar currently averaging over 31 points per game and leading the Suns to a good 11-7 record.
Even if he retired today, Durant has already established himself as one of the best players of all time, but recently, former NBA big man and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins went above and beyond in shouting the small forward’s praises.
“I’ve admired Kevin Durant since I first arrived in Oklahoma City in 2011,” Perkins stated on ESPN’s NBA Today. “When you think about KD… he’s the greatest scorer of all time, in my opinion.” We will never see another Kevin Durant in terms of a complete attacking package because he is efficient.”
Durant’s skill set is unlike that of any other player in league history. Despite standing nearly (or over) seven feet tall, Durant possesses guard-like qualities in his ability to handle the ball and shoot from distance, and his wingspan is such that very few, if any, defensive players on Planet Earth can even contest, let alone block, Durant’s jump shot.
Meanwhile, Durant and the Suns will return to the court on December 1 for a big game against the Denver Nuggets.
