However, the Lakers mounted a comeback, going on a 15-2 run late in the third quarter to take an 81-70 lead. They maintained an advantage of 91-80 going into the final ten minutes of regulation.

The Blazers quickly closed the gap, coming within one point at 93-92 after a 3-pointer by Grant. With 5:03 remaining, the Lakers held a 102-94 lead, but a 7-0 run by the Blazers, including another Grant 3-pointer, narrowed the deficit to 102-101.

In the final moments of the game, Davis and Rui Hachimura helped the Lakers secure a 112-106 lead with 1:19 left. The Lakers held on for the victory, with Lonzo Ball making four crucial free throws in the last 16 seconds.
