LeBron James criticizes Referee for mistakes in Lakers Loss To Heat

Given the missed foul calls during the Lakers’ loss to the Miami Heat last night, LeBron James and the Lakers will believe their 3-4 start to the season is unjust. The league office reacted to the Lakers’ submission of a highlight package of missed calls by declaring there were no missed calls. This caused LeBron to express his displeasure on social media.

“The game isn’t won or lost in the final two minutes!” Things happen throughout the first, second, third, and first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter that have a significant impact on results if you know the game.”

The Lakers will not get the outcome back, but they will hope for better treatment from the officials in the future. People complained about the officials when LeBron shot 0 free throws against the Nuggets on opening night.

He’s averaging 5.7 free throws per game, which is a good number but might be better given how many no-calls he gets.

Darvin Ham Was Dissatisfied With The Officiating Following The Game

James’ latest comments came in response to the league stating that there were no fouls in the game’s crucial moments after the Lakers complained about a lack of calls. Darvin Ham, the team’s head coach, also criticized the officiating in his post-game interview.

He defended his superstar, pleading with officials to better when he drives to the basket due to no-calls, especially since James hasn’t been flopping as much.

LeBron James critical of NBA officiating after Lakers' loss to Heat

“I see Bron shooting four free throws and the number of times he attacked the rim, the number of times he was slapped on the arm, which I could clearly see, for that not to be called man.” He isn’t flopping. “I watch him go strong to the hole.”

There are other footage from the game that indicate missed calls, including situations where James was hit in the arm or even the face on drives.

Perhaps the lack of calls affected James’ decision to pass the game-winning shot to Cam Reddish rather than finish in the contested paint because he could have been fouled and not received a call. He remembers how that felt last season.

LeBron James Was Involved In One Of The Biggest Referee Scandals

Last season, a missed call on LeBron James was the catalyst for experienced referee Eric Lewis’ demise. Lewis ignored a clean slap on James’ wrist by Jayson Tatum on a game-winning shot last season, costing the Lakers the win and ending Lewis’ referee career. The no-call was so outrageous that fans began to wonder if Lewis had any specific ties to the Celtics for damaging the game by failing to call that foul. The NBA also apologized publicly to LeBron, the Lakers, and the fans.

To everyone’s amazement, a Twitter/X burner account apparently belonging to Lewis and displaying him as a Celtics superfan was discovered. Pictures of his family were also published on social media, revealing that his entire family was a huge Celtics supporter. After all of this material became public, the league was obligated to investigate Lewis.

Lewis abruptly announced his resignation before the probe could be concluded. Many claim Lewis was forced to quit before the league’s findings were made public, but all we know is that missing that one call due to his apparent prejudices ruined his entire career.
