Steph Curry’s game-winning points in 0.2 seconds remaining secures Warriors victory

On Friday night, the Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder played a nail-biter that finished with a controversial game-winning layup from superstar point guard Steph Curry. Curry made a layup with 0.2 seconds left in the game to apparently win it.

While the shot went in nonetheless, Draymond Green was called for basket interference because he appeared to have touched the ball while it was in the cylinder. This verdict was overturned after review, and it was ruled a made basket; nonetheless, the basket was initially credited to Green rather than Curry. This has now been altered, and Curry now has the official basket.

This call would have been contentious regardless of how it was decided, and fans are divided on what the correct decision should have been. While it appeared that Green touched the ball while it was in the cylinder, it also appeared that Josh Giddey grabbed the net before Green touched it. When Green was awarded the basket, things became even more complicated and contentious, although that has now been changed.
