Anthony Davis, Lakers Star, Offloads Westlake Village, CA Mansion for $6.6M

The Los Angeles Times recently reported that NBA All-Star Anthony Davis has sold his prestigious residence in Westlake Village, CA, for $6.6 million. However, the sale resulted in a financial loss for the Los Angeles Lakers center. Records from realtor.com indicate that the expansive property was last purchased in 2018 for $7,479,000.

It appears that Davis acquired the home during his tenure with the New Orleans Pelicans and had attempted to sell it earlier this year for just under $8 million. However, faced with challenges in the real estate market, he lowered the price to $7.5 million in October. Ultimately, the property was sold by the end of the year for an even lower amount, leaving Davis with an uncommon setback in the realm of real estate.

The recently sold property, once owned by NBA All-Star Anthony Davis, was undeniably tailored to suit the lifestyle of a basketball star. The house boasts a remarkable interior design that includes a full indoor court and sports gym, emphasizing Davis’s passion for the game. Upon entering the residence through a motor court, guests are greeted by a grand two-story entryway. The floor plan encompasses elegant formal living and dining rooms, while a remodeled kitchen with granite counters, double islands, and a pantry connects to a cozy breakfast nook. The expansive master bedroom features a fireplace, en suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet.

Impressive amenities continue throughout the property, including a home theater, office, recreational room, wine cellar, and a separate guesthouse. The sprawling 2.33-acre grounds offer a resort-like experience, highlighted by an infinity-edge pool with dual slides, water features, and a spa. Outdoor entertainment options include a covered kitchen, well-maintained turf, sundecks, and even a sunken trampoline. Equipped with advanced technology, the property includes outdoor security cameras, smart home features, and solar panels. A four-car garage completes the impressive package.

Although Davis has bid farewell to this lavish estate, he had been residing in a luxurious Bel-Air mansion on a lease of $50,000 per month. The six-bedroom property, located in a gated community, boasts a gourmet kitchen, gym, pool, and a basketball court—features that align with his preferences. Originally from Chicago, the 27-year-old Davis was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets (now Pelicans) in 2012. With seven All-Star selections and the title of All-Star Game MVP in 2017, Davis joined the Lakers in 2019 and played a pivotal role in helping the team secure the NBA championship in 2020.
