The Philadelphia 76ers planned to meet with James Harden this weekend to discuss his new contract.
The plan was to meet Harden in the Hamptons, where former 76ers owner Michael Rubin happened to be having one of his white parties over the weekend. Aside from the obvious “White Party” jokes, the event’s guest list was large, with a slew of 76ers players in attendance, including James Harden, Joel Embiid, and PJ Tucker.
Tyrese Maxey was also in attendance. Take a look at this photo of Embiid, Rubin, Mitchell, and Maxey.
Embiid, Tucker, and Harden all joined Meek Mill on stage to celebrate the Fourth of July with the nation’s true national song, Dreams & Nightmares.
Rich Kleiman, Kevin Durant’s agent, was also present. Daryl Morey was also in the Hamptons over the weekend, likely to discuss Harden’s new contract with him.
There was a lot going on in the Hamptons over the weekend, but no word on a new James Harden contract. What exactly does it all mean?
There has been a lot of talk online about people being upset that James Harden and company are all partying instead of signing a new contract, but I couldn’t disagree more. I love seeing Embiid, Harden, and Tucker on stage with Meek Mill at some nice Michael Rubin White Party. Have fun, gentlemen; we’ll worry about the rest later.
