Kevin Durant, the Brooklyn Nets forward, is possibly the most misunderstood of all the world’s superstars. Durant’s acidic sense of humor and general prickliness may irritate some individuals.

Fans of the All-NBA forward, on the other hand, know what he’s all about. Durant’s primary priority at 34 years old is basketball. Not just passing out buckets, like he does every night. Durant wants to expand the game in addition to hooping.

The Kevin Durant Foundation has repaired 26 outdoor basketball courts around the world, including several in the New York metropolitan region. So it stands to reason that Durant’s new Nike shoes were created in partnership with Timothy Goodman.

The Nike KD 15 ‘Timothy Goodman’ retails for $150 on the Nike website. The performance basketball shoe has a black upper with wolf-grey overlays that pay homage to the P.S. 152 basketball floor.

The royal purple laces, ocean green embellishments, and acidic orange sock-liner match the colors used on the court within the three-point line. It’s difficult to capture the 1980s New York style in just one colorway, but Nike and Goodman achieved it with this sneaker.

The Nike KD 15 is a performance beast in addition to looking nice. Fewer materials underfoot and throughout the upper have reduced the shoe’s weight. A dual layer of cushioning is provided by full-length foam and a visible Air Zoom Strobel unit. The rubber outsole pattern is based on a geographical map and is designed to grip the blacktop or hardwood.
