Kevin Durant makes All-Tournament Team for NBA In-Season Tournament Alongside LeBron James

Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns is one of five players named to the NBA’s inaugural All-Tournament Team for the NBA In-Season Tournament. The players were chosen depending on how well they performed in group play and the knockout rounds.

Durant was part of a Suns team that went 3-1 in the group stage before falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in the quarterfinals. Durant averaged 34.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 3.3 turnovers per game while shooting 60.9% from the field and 69.6% from 3-point range in those four games.

He is joined by Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers, and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. All four of those players were unanimously chosen by the 20 media members who voted, with Durant leading the way among those who received votes.

The Lakers defeated the Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans to win the Western Conference part of the in-season tournament’s elimination stage, where they defeated the Pacers in the title game. James was selected the in-season tournament MVP.

Phoenix finished their week after losing to the Lakers by dropping to the Sacramento Kings on Friday, the first of five consecutive home games. The game against the Golden State Warriors is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday on the Arizona Sports app, 98.7 FM, and ArizonaSports.com.
