LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has been in the NBA for a long time, scoring the most points in NBA history, logging the most minutes played, and the list goes on.
This season, James has shown no signs of slowing down for the Lakers, averaging 25.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in his age-39 season.
Former Laker Robert Horry weighs in on LeBron’s longevity during an appearance on NBA Hooper Vision:
“Man, LeBron keeps his body in tip-top shape, so yes,” Horry said when asked if LeBron had another 25 years in him. He was able to interact with both children. I know we usually speak about him playing with Bronny, but if both kids make it to the league, he could play with both of them.”
Bronny James, the Lakers star’s son, was formally authorized to resume to practice with his team on Thursday, four months after experiencing cardiac arrest on the court.
According to the James family’s statement:
“Bronny James’ doctors have cleared him to play basketball again.” Bronny will have his last evaluation with the USC staff this week, return to practice the next week, and play in games soon after. The James family wishes to thank the outstanding medical team, the entire USC community, and especially the many friends, family, and fans for their love and support. “Keep fighting!”
According to ESPN, Bronny, the Lakers legend’s oldest son, was the 20th overall college basketball recruit in 2020 out of Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles. He picked USC basketball over other schools such as Ohio State and Oregon.
Bronny James, who arrived on campus during the summer, had cardiac arrest on July 24 while training at USC’s Galen Center. He hasn’t practiced or played for the Trojans since that terrifying health scare.
