“A team source told ESPN that Green’s most recent suspension probably won’t derail this season, but it came at an inopportune time amid a three-game losing streak and with [Steph] Curry out of the lineup,” according to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. “A league source told ESPN that the Warriors will back Green no matter what he does, while another team source told ESPN the Warriors lost leverage on disciplining him after failing to hold him accountable for punching Poole.”

Whenever the Dubs seem to have a run of bad luck, it always seems to come back to the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole preseason game in 2021. The team must be able to figure out how to work properly and totally recover from the disaster.

The Warriors started out well, but faltered in the lead up to the ban. They went 2-3 without Green (and lost the game in which he was expelled) and are now 8-9 overall. With the veteran forward returning to action against the Kings at the Golden 1 Center, supporters should expect the club to reestablish its footing in the Western Conference.

However, if more losses and scandal follow, the NBA world may ultimately give up on this modern-day dynasty.
