Spurs rookie wonder Victor Wembanyama’s perimeter defense skills were put to the test against Harden as the game progressed. Harden defeated the young French sensation in a duel of 7-foot-4 monster vs. 6-foot-5 shooting guard.

On Monday, he nailed Wembanyama with a perfect move seen on the playground and TikTok circuit that ‘Wemby’ had no answer for.

Harden has been chastised by NBA fans and commentators alike this season for his comparatively low scoring average of 16.5 points per game, which is much below his career average of 24.6 points per game.

Harden, a former Arizona State Sun Devil, is 34 years old and has played a significant amount of NBA basketball. He has yet to win a championship, and neither has the Clippers franchise, heightening the sense of urgency surrounding his team’s future.

As the third quarter came to a close in San Antonio, the Clippers led the Spurs 86-66.

Harden scored 13 points and eight assists, while Wembanyama only had seven, as the Clippers appeared to be well on their way to defeating their Western Conference rivals.
