James Harden has found the perfect way to counter Victor Wembanyama’s height

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Clippers faced the San Antonio Spurs, with the Clippers ahead a few minutes into the third quarter.

The Clippers have made a new addition. James Harden has given a different energy and feel to the team, as Clippers star Paul George recently stated. Fellow Clippers player Kawhi Leonard returned to San Antonio on Monday night, and fans weren’t bashful about telling him how they felt.

Spurs rookie wonder Victor Wembanyama’s perimeter defense skills were put to the test against Harden as the game progressed. Harden defeated the young French sensation in a duel of 7-foot-4 monster vs. 6-foot-5 shooting guard.

James Harden showed Victor Wembanyama one of his best moves and succeeded in San Antonio on Monday night.

On Monday, he nailed Wembanyama with a perfect move seen on the playground and TikTok circuit that ‘Wemby’ had no answer for.

“Insane,” one admirer responded on X.

“He’s cooking and putting on a passing clinic,” another commenter said.

Harden has been chastised by NBA fans and commentators alike this season for his comparatively low scoring average of 16.5 points per game, which is much below his career average of 24.6 points per game.

Harden, a former Arizona State Sun Devil, is 34 years old and has played a significant amount of NBA basketball. He has yet to win a championship, and neither has the Clippers franchise, heightening the sense of urgency surrounding his team’s future.

As the third quarter came to a close in San Antonio, the Clippers led the Spurs 86-66.

Harden scored 13 points and eight assists, while Wembanyama only had seven, as the Clippers appeared to be well on their way to defeating their Western Conference rivals.
