LeBron James delivered an outstanding performance with a season-high 37 points, along with eight assists, six rebounds, and three steals. Anthony Davis also contributed significantly with 27 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 

The Lakers heavily relied on James and Davis for scoring, as their teammates struggled with their shots throughout the game. In the final moments, James drew a shooting foul and made one of two free throws to secure the win for the Lakers.

Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura provided valuable contributions alongside James and Davis. Reaves Һit a crucial 31-foot three-pointer, assisted by James, to give the Lakers a 103-100 lead. Despite Davis fouling out late in the game, the Lakers managed to hold off the Rockets’ comeback attempts. The victory sets up a crucial group-stage matchup against the Utah Jazz in the in-season tournament, where a win would secure the Lakers’ advancement to the knockout rounds.
