According to NBA on TNT’s Jared Greenberg, Booker may also miss Saturday’s game against the Utah Jazz. The guard “hopes” to return to the court against the San Antonio Spurs next Tuesday.

With pain in his left big toe, Booker was listed as questionable on Phoenix’s injury report for the season opener against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.

3 Phoenix Suns players whose stock has skyrocketed

Despite his injury, the three-time All-Star led the Suns to a 108-104 win over the Lakers, finishing with 32 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one steal in roughly 37 minutes.

Meanwhile, Beal was ruled out of Phoenix’s opener due to a back injury.

The 30-year-old’s absence from the team’s opening two games of the season is ultimately disappointing, given the Suns acquired him in an offseason trade with the Washington Wizards in the hopes that he would play a significant part in the starting five.

With Beal out for the first game of the season, Grayson Allen took his place. In roughly 21 minutes on the field, he finished with four rebounds and two assists.

With Beal and Booker missing for Thursday’s game against the Lakers, Kevin Durant will have to carry the load. In 36 minutes, Durant had 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and one block.

While Allen is expected to start again, Jordan Goodwin could be pressed into service with Booker sidelined. They’d play alongside Kevin Durant, Josh Okogie, and Jusuf Nurkic.

The good news for the Suns is that the season has only just begun, giving them plenty of time to field a fully healthy lineup.
