Davis created NBA history by moving up the all-time scoring chart during the game.
He started the night with 15,999 career points and has already surpassed Rasheed Wallace (16,006) and Derek Harper (16,006) for 115th place on the list.
Juwan Howard (16,159) is the next guy Davis will pass to.
Davis has been outstanding this season, averaging 26.3 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.7 blocks per game while shooting 55.1% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.
He was the first overall choice in the 2012 NBA Draft and is now in his 12th season (seven with the New Orleans Pelicans and five with the Lakers).
The former Kentucky standout is regarded as one of the best players of all time, with career averages of 24.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game.
The Lakers will now play two more road games against the Houston Rockets (in Texas on Wednesday) and the Phoenix Suns (in Arizona on Friday) before returning home to face the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
They were the seventh seed in the Western Conference last season, but they made it to the Conference Finals for the first time since 2020.
